We take on only a few projects a year. That keeps our builder on your site and on the tools every day, and keeps every decision with the people doing the work. It's how the details get noticed, and how a home gets built to be lived in for thirty years.

Before anything is priced, we sit down with you and your plans and ask how you'll use each room. Our designer shapes the layout and interiors around the answers. Our builder makes sure it can be built well and priced sensibly. Beautiful, practical, designed to your budget. That's the customer experience our name stands for.

Most homes don't need to be replaced. They need to be properly understood. We work with what's already there: the bones, the light, the way you actually live. Then we add form, function and space without losing what made you choose the house in the first place. The hardest work we do, and the work we're best at.
Standalone projects, finished to the same standard as a whole-of-home build. Small footprints, complex problems, no compromise on craft.
Floorplan reviews, interior design, and fixtures and finishes schedules, done in-house. Available on its own or as part of a CX build.
We can source the items that finish your home, from tapware to tiles. We know from experience where to save and where it's worth spending. You pay a fee for the service, and we pass our trade discounts on to you.
We walk the site or the house and talk through what you want, what's achievable and what it's likely to cost.
We review the floorplan and work through interiors, fixtures and finishes. If you'd like us to source items, we charge a small fee for the service and pass our trade discounts on to you.

We started working together in 2022 on a 1914 cottage in Lithgow. That job showed us what we'd suspected: a house turns out better when the person designing it and the person building it are in the same conversation from the start. CX Projects is the business we built around that.
Our builder has more than 20 years in the building industry, has run his own business since 2006, and still does most of the carpentry himself. Our designer leads the design side: layouts, interiors, fixtures and finishes.
